Well this started on this thread. But now i have completed the lower reciever for the A5. It is a really simple tray system that will just hold the trigger set in a box/stock. I haven't started on the actuall stock yet. To say the least that is going to be last on the todo list. Also I am JB welding it together and then ill still put some scews in it when im completly done, all the little teeth would be way to hard with a make with a file. I am right now starting on the new trigger.

Well take a look at the pics if you want.

Are you making it electric, or just mechanical?

I thought you were going to make the fornt grip area first, so that was you knew wear to run the connetion rod or string... which ever you had choosen...

But i guess you could do it either... So... yeah. nice job on that peice. What is actually going to pull the trigger in that box?

It is goingto be a mech.... i really dont like my egrip so I decided not to use it. It would make it alot easier to be electric but mechanical is the way I want to go.

It is going to be a control rod that will actually pull the tirgger. To tell the truth that will be after the fore grip becuase i have to make that fill all the parts.

That aluminum looks thick. Is this the pre-final edition? Looks good! You must have spent some time thinking this through.

Yeah i did the cammo myself. The aluminum is the right tickness. It is the same thickness as the fram used to be so i can use the origninal pins, and the aluminum isn't that strong to tell the truth so the little trays actually help suppor the box. This will prob be my final production on it. It will be messy untill the end mainly because i want to make sure it works before i put the final touches on it. Basically after I remove the templates that i taped on it and sand and paint it will look fine. If it works well ill see about geting some stanless steel parts waterjet cut this summer at work, but utill then yeah this is all that its going to be.

Just be careful, because aluminum can be a really crappy metal to work with!

But so far, this looks great! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Well right now im going to still use the tippman sear... all i did is just lop off most of the trigger so it will fit in the box. I have another double trigger that i might use because all the holes are already 1/8 inch wide and im going to use 1/8 inch rod for my control arm.

The sear is kinda complicated to make. And untill this summer I dont have any access to power tools, because right now im in my dorms so Im doing this all with a mini hack saw, a drill (use it as little as possible) and my leatherman. Right now i have the basic frame for the front grip done but now I have to put in trigger and grip in it now. The front rightnow will be a little bit more rough than the rear because I didn't quite plan it out as much because it doesn't really have to fit exactly like the back did.

The stock trigger is a combination of the two. If you take a A5 sear housing appart there is a top peice that rotates and slides this alows it to stop the bolt even if you are still pulling the trigger. This is where people make the 'full auto' mod. And there is a small spring mecanism on the acutall trigger. You take that off if your are using an egrip so it doesn't acually touch the sear. It just gets all sorts of complicated. So im not going to mess with it.

So in short. Im using the stock sears, and im going to use a modified double trigger for the front trigger.
