Im not sure if this would belong in the Trigger systems catagory because its the trigger stock and all. So any way this is what i have.

Posted Image

Baiscally what i have are two seperate components. The forward grip with the trigger, and the rear component which contains the sear and orignial trigger components. There will be an autococker style rod connecting the forward trigger back to the orginal trigger components. This is what im planning. Is to just lop off most of the original trigger and have the rod connect directly to that. The 5 inch stick ... well sticking out the back is going to be a small stock so it will fit me just right.

This is where I have my main problem. The forward grip. The grip itself. I have an idea what the trigger will be and the trigger guard. The grip is my problem I am going to need to fabricate my own and i also need it to be alble support an asa. I was thinking about using a 1/2" tube and cutting it in half for the round front of the grip, then some flat bar for the sides with a square tube back. This is my plan but I really dont want to do this because I dont have acces to any welding equipment. Is there a way I can put this grip together with JB weld or anything similar. Or would welding be a good idea.

So any ideas please. I would like to have a creative viewpoint from some else than me. Thankyou.

Wow, this'll be tight!!

Also, I have an idea. As you said:

Is to just lop off most of the original trigger and have the rod connect directly to that.

It might be a good idea to make a small caseing type thing to run the rod through to the old trigger. Maybe a peice of metal pipe or something?

I love the way you did the mock up on that. Very much nicer than a MS Paint job.

I don't have my gun with me so I can't really visualize the trigger area so I can't generate any Ideas right now. I will be back... next week.

Oh and... sorry 'bout your hair :)

Ive been thinking about doing one for a while. But since i actually saw people making them i dicided sure why not. The first one I saw was along time ago for a procarine. But I didn't really have the know how to do it. Also a school there is alot of down time so im getting bored.

For the rod I was thinking some thick piano wire or a strong radio control servo arm.

well i guess i could help you with this so you wont have to go through as much "trial and error" as i did

for the rod i took some thin metal wire and folded it over itself and then ducttaped it to make it stay together, i had problems with using anything else.

The main problem i can see is the ASA being in the way. This can be fixed by running a macro line through the side of the gun to the back.

Yeah i have thought about the asa. But what im going to do is have the arm actually follow the body on the left side then it will bend in after the asa. Right now im waiting on the tools to get here in the mail then ill start on it. Thanks.

Also since that picture i have decided to make the trigger 90 degrees from the body. It feels better for me that way. One other plus will be it will be easier to manufacture. Ill post up the more final drawings in a bit.

Ok so this is what i have so far. The back is alot more detailed because it has to work with existing equipment but the front will me more build to fit. And will look alot like the drawing but not completely. The back tho will prob be build exactly like i have drawn. Im still tho thinking about the stock design tho.

LOL yeah its going to be a paint in the butt. But when it comes to gether i want to use the smallest amount of JB weld possible. The worst thing is that im in some dorms so I can't use powertools. I dont think the neighbors would like to hear grinding. If it works well, I think im going to try to find some Stanless Steel scrap at my dads company and see how much it would be to get it water jet cut for a final build.

Actually how strong is JB weld.
