I dont think there is really any way to get someone who wipes in paintball to get out unless you can just unload on them. and wipers are not what i want to get at in this post. What has anyone used to outlast and outhink a respectbly good player who is using a tourny style gun with full auto (either real or damn close) shooting 25+bps. Please dont post saying that i should go out and buy a DM6 or something. I have an A-5 with freak kit and HPA, so my gun is not entirely defficient.

The problem that i am running into is that the fields i am playing are the closest thing to outlaw fields that you can get to that still sell paint, air and hotdogs. The Refs do a descent job of sorting teams for fairness of walkons, And when the refs are paying attention they do a Don't dodge the filter job of makeing sure every one plays buy the rules. So what is my problem? the fields are using useless handheld chrono's that are in no way accurate. They allow people to carry allen wrenches and small screw drivers on the field. So at the staging and chorno area the people that are pissing me off seam to have regular semi-auto markers....on the field they are using the ramp boards and producing massive walls of paint. In conjuction with blatent blind-fireing walkons, the tourny-gun-ramped-up-300+fps-sobs are able to own the field with massive loads of paint that even a group of good snapshooters can't defeat with better than average small group tactics. Its just that we are consistantly out gunned, and cant afford to buy enough paint to spend 500 rounds in a game of capture the flag that at most lasts 20 minutes.

The question is what can a small squad of 4-6 equipped with a-5's and m98c's do to outlast and outthink the guys that are cheating? I dont want to, but havnt ruled out, getting an e-grip to somewhat even the field. in the way of manuvers what is an ideal way of overcoming a spraygun toting jerk in a moderatly fortified postion without going to exotics and full auto? HOW DO YOU ELIMINATE A CHEATER WITHOUT WITHOUT Don't dodge the filter TO THE REFS OR CHEATING YOURSELF?

integrity of the game is what makes the game great, sacrificing integrity takes away all that has been worked for by others in the past. with out integrity woodsball will die. one day even wallmart will sell fullauto brasseagles that outpreform todays great guns. HOW DO WE OUTHINK, AND OUTPLAY the cheater with out compromising what we all profess as woodsballers.

/end rant

Yeah, it was a lot of "female dogging", maybe i just got to comfertable at my local field and when a bigger dog showed up for the last few games and powend me into submission i got ticked off instead of trying to work out a better game plan for myself and team.

But still, the question is when significantly outgunned what are your best options?

if you are being outgunned. then you need to out think your opponent.

how do players with pumps and pistols take out players with high end markers? because they do not rely on fire power, they rely on tactics.

most players on a rec field don't know what i'm talking about. some of us do and thats what makes up able to defeat these paint slingers. but on average, if you take a look at all the threads asking for things just like this one is, its obvious that rec ballers in general don't have a clue.

a team of 2 or 3 can easily take out 1. does not matter what maker they are shoting. its all about diversion, flanking, angles. he can't possibly shoot three of you at once.

now, there might be more than just one fireballer on the field. thats fine. take them one at a time. their markers can't shoot any further, and straiter than yours can. and if they are breaking rules, report them. it snot fun for anyone at that point. espically if they are boosting velosity

Talk to the refs more about monitering the rampers. Tip them off before a match, or have them throw some of the rampers on your team to even the firepower.

Hand held chronos are accurate if used properly. That is the only problem I had with your post. That being said, I do agree with you about people upping their speed on the field. However, I do not think it is a bad thing to allow people to have tools on the filed. I cannot count the times I have had to do a battlefield fix on my a-5.

Now I think the biggest problem with wiping is when you only hit the person with one shot and they wipe and get under cover. Some times bonus balling them is not possible if they wipe and get to cover. Then you can end up trading shots with them for another 5 minutes after they should be dead.

Finally, there is no such thing as an invincible opponent. It takes better strategy to overcome someone with superior fire power and sometimes it calls for you taking some risks on the field. No one is impossible to kill. No one.

Since you can't snap shoot, and you can't win a gun fight against their firepower maybe you need to try this...

Off the break have all your players take all the back bunkers on the goal and the 10. Use the bunkers for frontal shields and play the angles trying to pick off the the other team as they move up. Once you eliminate enough players switch back to normal play.

Just be carefull about this. If teh other team figures out what your doing you could get a mass bunker move (what I would do to counter) by several of the other team at once.

Me and 3 of my friends play almost every weekend at our local park. We all have upgraded 98c or a-5s (response triggers and egrips). This extra fire power helps, but even before this, we still competed with the speed ballers shooting fast. Its little things that help you get at them. 1) Most speedball players where bright jerseys, and easy thing to spot in the woods. 2) most speedball players are over agressive and if you are patient, will expose themselves 3) just pick your shots, and make em count!

this cannot be stressed enough, i cant even count the amount of time some speedballer did a wide flank at the beggining of the game, i saw them and just literally knelled by a bush, and popped them once or twice once they got reasonably close.

now i got a black promaster that shoots jsut as fast a anything, so im pretty much feared when playing woods ball now

Please don't use the word integrity after dodging swear filters.

Anyway you can use their wasting paint to your advantage. If they're using so much, they are gonna be refilling their hoppers often, so if you have radios, tell everyone to supress and move up while they are realoding. Don't hesitate because it doesn't take long to reload.

First of all,I take most of the things you said as a complaint for gettin wiped out on the feild. I play both seedball and woodsball, I use my Tippy 98c for both. In woods, Heres a few tips on how to beat speedball players.

1) Their markers bright colors Will GIVE THEM AWAY, look for that and youll know where they all are, all the time.

2) Speedball markers have an unreasonably large profile that makes them a much bigger target then most other guns.

3) Speedball markers are not built for acurracy. They draw their strength from firepower, use your guns increased accuraccy to your advantage.

4) This one is my favorite, Speedball markers are not meant to play woods, if dirt gets into the gun and messes up the eye the gun is going to start chopping balls like crazy. If u get into a firefight make sure to pressure your oposition to go into an area of heavy brush to destroy their marker for a game or two.

Speedballers markers are MADE to be the tiniest package possible without sacrificing performance
3) Speedball markers are not built for acurracy. They draw their strength from firepower, use your guns increased accuraccy to your advantage.
With a reg, compressed air and more then likely a perfect paint-to-barrel match they are the most accurate markers.

I played with my nerve in POUNDING rain, crawled thru dirt and mud.It works fine

Thank you come again

The best way to deal with somebody using their firepower is to use superior tactics.Take out the ppl with heavy-firepower one at a time.I would slow crawl my way to their side or back and take'em out when they're exposed.

um... my Freestyle is black..

speedball guns are made small for less of a target to hit. if u tell me a 98 custom is smaller then a damn angel one your crazy

every paintball gun is as accurate as the other..
