I have the privalge to tell you boys about my lil friend...the

NCSTAR HALO site.

I just bought this thing from Robert D. the other day. Its used and probably seen better days..but what the heck..I stuck it on my weapon right away.

The first thing you will notice it the difference in profile these sites have over regular tube style red dot sites. I was amazed. I think just swagin it that they are at leas 1/3 the profile.

Here is a side by side of a BSA 30mm reddot vs the NCSTAR HALO

Yes retail they are twice or more as much...but for great reason.

I have always had good luck with my reddots...as they confirm your target so much faster than iron sites alone. My problem is the amount of site picture you loose with one stuck on your weapon. They tend to block key areas when sniping that normally would provide you with details and images you need to make split second descisions.

The NCSTAR practically isnt there.....hence the HALO part of the name. Its like putting a heads up display on your marker.

I put this on, checked for a quick Zero...and never looked back. I played several games that afternoon...ranging from 4 on 4 to 3 on 3. No matter the odds...the site helped me land shot after shot.

I had 8 kills that day, no hits. 5 of the kills were one shot kills. The three that were multiple rounds fired...I only missed once. And that time three of the four found their mark.

The thing is accurate, light, and will improve your site abilities in a game to a whole new level.

you can buy these on the Spec Ops store. Rack up your store purchase points...and if you have free items coming...why not, youll get em with your order.

^^^^lil plug for the company there^^^^

Omg awsome review.I was looking at this sight for some time now,but I wasnt sure if it was worth the money.I use a really cheap red dot sight that doesnt even work anymore lol.Im deffinantly going to start saving for the sight.

Edit-Not sure if you have used your sight yet but has your NCSTAR HALO site been shot yet.Thanks.

Very nice review. I like it when people put pictures in their reviews to describe what they're saying since I'm a very visual person.

Nice I just might have to get that. Huge feild of view, and it's a hella sick targeting system.

Usually red dots with cool reticles are much more expensive. That NcSTAR is a great value. I use one as well, but with the dot only, and its brightness and clarity is amazing. Perfect for outdoor paintball.

I got a question. What rail can it mount on, Weaver, 7/8", or 3/8".

That's definitely a 7/8"/weaver mount.

I just called NcStar, and they said that if you do take a direct hit to the sight, theres a good chance you'll lose the lens

i bought an NCStar last year and took a direct hit in the lens with it. It didn't lose the lense.. instead the site got ripped off my marker and hit me in the mask. it still worked and everything. I just couldn't put it back on since I didn't a screwdriver handy at the time to tighten down the screws.

Lol. That's hilarious. That makes you go "Wtf?!" About as much as a paintball bouncing off of your lens from 20 feet away...Ever had a bounce on the lens? Weird as hell...

I'm lookin in to buying one of these puppies, right now I'm using the red dot sight that came with my sim 4, it's ok but it realy restricts your vision. this Ncstar seems to give you a wide field of sight.

do you now any online dealers that have a good price? so far the cheapest I can find is about 100 clams, I'm willing to pay that much but cheaper is always better

Some people say paintball is lame, some people are idiots.
