Alright, I'm considering building an A-5 into a sniper rifle, I've got the basic plan layed out, but the A-5 and other parts won't leave me much for a barrel. Ironic since its one of the most important parts.

Anyway, I'm no stranger to sniping, but I don't have a lot of money, so I need to come up with some economical barrel choices. The only requirements are that it be relatively accurate, pretty quiet, and under 75 dollars.

So far my only really serious choices are:

the J&J Ceramic (12in) (first choice)
the C-Series (12in) (second choice)

What I need is a cheap, accurate, relatively quiet barrel that I won't have to worry about damaging when I clean it.

If anyone knows of some other options that fit my needs, please, by all means let me know.

Thanks a lot.

The J&J Ceramic is, hands-down, the best bang for your paintball barrel buck. It's quiet, accurate, self-cleaning and cheap. Can't ask for more on a budget.

You can get a pretty good array of barrels for under $75. Lapco makes very fine barrel, their not the absoute quietest though. (hardly anything will be with an A-5)

J&J Ceramics work pretty well considering their price too.

I agree on the JJ. I had one on my 98 and the barrel was very quiet. Now if I could just have done that with the rest of the marker :dodgy:

I have the 14" J&J on my 98 Custom, and I love it. The porting is a little long on it, but otherwise, it's a good all around barrel for the money.
